The following is a detailed description of the actual filming
of the Imax Film
ALL ACCESS.

1st an explanation...The reason for the "long" 30-40 minute breaks, were simply because the FILM for an IMAX Camera takes Approximately 30 minutes to load...and they of course needed to "Reset" which his the art of positioning Cameras to capture different perspectives.....

In the Afternoon on Thursday, George Clinton and P-funk All-Stars took the Stage with MaryJ.(I'm to good for You)Blige....The sound was powerful, less than 200 people were there...Fully Decked out P-Funk Attire for eveyone...even the Baby Guy who wears the Daiper was there...GC was really recked it was a bit obvious to everyone who spoke to him...Their performance was fun...not GREAT...I've seem them before ..alot, including a NYC 4th of July Bash in Central Park....they just weren't into it that much...sure they played live and it sounded GREAT...but Mary J Sucked she only came out once and didn't do much....They did a medly of what I call there Greates Hits...We Want the Funk/DogCatcher/One Nation Under A Groove/ a coouple of others too...there were signs being held up "WooF" was one...My Favorite was "Paper Acid"...for the last take, the crowd got to hold up the signs, and then Keep them...and yes they had a Dancer dressed in All black with a "witch" Nose attachment, doing body rolls and trying to lead the crowd....that was about it...Now onto Thursday Night...

Trey, B.B. King and The Roots: They started Rehearsing in a Typical B.B. Style...It was one of the more Musically Special moments I've Witnessed...They developed over 40 minutes into the Jam they would perform "Rock Me Baby, Rock Me All Night Long"....after a break they come out to Shoot and Most Phans and extras were let in...The Vocal Percussionist from The Roots would start off with a chkicka BB Kingchika, w,chkwick, wicka wahwith the Roots and wick wick wa wicka wick wick wa wi Phi Phi Phicka ish ish phicka Phish....and then the song would start...It was amazing to see how EVERYONE was taken back With BB King, Even Trey... While I was talking to B.B. backstage...I get word they are going to NEED Close up Shots of Trey Playing ---I of course took my spot back at the edge of the stage for the show....Trey solo-ed for about 15 minutes, while they got the close ups they needed...The only hint of a Phish tease was maybe an idea of Llama running through Trey's head about 8 minutes through, but real quick and not exactly...anyway that was about it...Trey was off to the Airport..

Trey Anastasio with The Roots and BB King....close to 350 people Musically they speak for themselves, Here is the story....I had FULL ACCESS Back Stage.....I spoke to Trey and the Roots, everybody... and I got to be the person thanking B.B. King Backstage after they were finished filming on stage... He gave me a genuine BB King Guitar Pick ...its white and says bb king on the front and the back has his Image sitting playing Lucille, I scanned it, its at the top of this page....Also along the night I gave Trey 4 Copies of the Sunrise Photo from Big Cypress, and yes, he said he will give them to Paige, Mike, and Fishman, and He truly Appreciated the beauty of the Photograph.....Scroll Below the Review for the Sunrise Photo..

..Now Carlos.....

Well Santana obviously had the biggest Phollowing in this Area...If you think We listened to the radio version of Smooth with Robb Thomas...You couldn't be more wrong...1st of all, Santana live is Electrifying...and at the end of the regular arrangement of "Smooth" the 11 member band broke into a Salsa Rythm Jam, the Kind Only Carlos Could Lead...after about 10 minutes the song ends with "Give Me Your Heart, Make it Real, or else forget about it....So there were 3 takes with the normal break time in between...then after the Final Shoot, We got to experience a Phree Santana Jam Session for about 35 minutes, all Instrumental( a few latin rythmic chants) and none of "Smooth?---He was Really happy to play for the crowd...His Guitar Pic was Purple, and Larger than B.B. King's, and has "Santana" written on it....Party On Everyone...---Scott
